Metropolitan Police Test for Interpreters, Institute of Linguists, London – 2006
The test assesses both interpretation and translation skills.

I gained full-status membership to the NRPSI - 2006

I have completed over 8,000 hours of interpreting time and a large volume of translating work over a multitude of subject areas.

My work has included:

  • regular assignments within both private and public sectors
  • regular bookings with the Police, SOCA, MOJ, HM Prison Service, National Probation Service, Home Office, solicitors’ firms, refugee and immigration advisory groups and law centres
  • legal, local government, medical and business assignments.
  • over 3,000 hours of court hearings, legal conferences and police interviews
  • chaperoning business visitors and political delegations
  • medical interpreting on behalf of Romanian patients at doctors’ surgeries and hospitals
  • translations include legal statements, minutes of meetings, certificates and personal documents, indictments, sentences and rulings, probation reports, Amnesty International reports, international letters of request, official reports of hand-over-take-over, criminal dossiers, immigration and deportation papers, judicial proceedings’ reviews, social care reports and reviews, product information reports, promotional material, website content, medical reports, newspaper articles, travel and tourism brochures
  • voice-overs include video games and health and safety presentations
